Their goal: to unravel the truth behind a secret waiting list supposedly maintained to hide lengthy delays for sick veterans, making it appear as if they were seeing doctors sooner when some may have waited months and died in the meantime.

Ex-Sgt Kyle White awarded US Medal of Honor

US President Barack Obama has awarded the nation's highest military decoration to ex-Army Sgt Kyle White, the seventh living veteran of Iraq or Afghanistan to be thus decorated.

Mr White was given the Medal of Honor for bravery during a November 2007 fire fight with Taliban forces.
